Hello readers and live entertainment fans! You may notice that things have been a bit quiet on the blog since July…yes, I do still have reviews from the 2023 Melbourne Magic Festival to publish on here (many of which are in draft format). I still intend to post those reviews on here, however in terms of any ‘new’ reviews / reviews for upcoming shows, I’ve made the decision to place Tay Around Town on hiatus until early 2024.

The main reason for this is that there have been several deaths in my extended family over the last few months which have prompted me to focus on my mental health.

Placing this blog on hiatus is not a decision I take lightly and it disappoints me to miss out on some fantastic shows that are coming up during the Melbourne Fringe Festival (among runs of other independent theatre shows).

I thank the producers who have reached out to me recently for opportunities to review and wish them all fantastic upcoming show runs. I hope I’ll be considered to review their future show runs.
